'A highly successful event in 2009'
Thanks to you, the very first Four Shires Show in Banbury was an outstanding success. August Bank Holiday saw thousands of visitors crowding into the centre of the town to browse the local food, drink and craft stalls and visit Banbury Town Council's flower and produce show - being held in the town hall at the same time as the Food Show. Stall holders and sponsors alike reported that the day had been highly successful and many are already looking forward to next year's event which will be held in the town centre once again. During the show a raffle was held which raised over £200 for the Katharine House Hospice and prize winners received a broad range of gifts kindly provided by stall holders and show sponsors Michael Jones Jewellers, Hook Norton Brewery and The Firs Garage of Hook Norton. Many thanks to all of you who turned out. Visitors came from Evesham, Stratford upon Avon and Leamington Spa - as well as one who came from Australia. Whilst the weather became overcast toward the end of the day, a bright outlook remained throughout for the inaugural Four Shires Show.
